Azerbaijan opens fire at Armenian border positions at night

Azerbaijan’s military opened fire at the Armenian army positions in the eastern section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border just after midnight on Thursday, the Defense Ministry reported.

Firearms of various calibers as well as mortars were used to shell the Armenian military posts.

The Azerbaijani fire was suppressed by Armenia’s retaliatory measures.

No casualties were reported on the Armenian side.

“As of now, the situation is relatively stable,” the ministry said.
