Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan issued a message on the 31st anniversary of the Artsakh Republic’s independence marked on September 2. The message reads:

“Dear Artsakh people,

I write to congratulate you on the Independence Day of the Republic of Artsakh.

The Artsakh Armenians have repeatedly proved that even in the seemingly hopeless situations they are able to join forces and achieve historic victories.

Today, just like 31 years ago, we must do everything possible to defend the independence of Artsakh.”
