A delegation led by Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan paid a working visit to the United States on Monday, the Defense Ministry reported.

No other details were immediately available.

Touching on the visit, political analyst Suren Sargsyan underscored that it was part of intensified high-level contacts between the two countries this year.

“I think a meeting with the U.S secretary of defense will also be held at the Pentagon at the end of the visit. Otherwise, the visit would be pointless,” he wrote.
