Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has again linked the normalization of Turkish-Armenian relations to Azerbaijan.

“Our last meeting with the Armenian leadership was held in Prague. We openly told them: if you channel your relations with Azerbaijan in a positive way, relations with Turkey will also go that way. We expect this from Yerevan,” RIA Novosti quoted him as telling reporters at Ankara’s Esenboga airport before flying to Samarkand on Thursday.

“No such efforts have been made so far. The Diasporas in France and the U.S. are putting pressure [on Armenia], which affects the process. Everything depends on the leadership of Armenia. We do not want enemies, but friends,” Erdogan said.
