The Kremlin refrained from naming the exact date of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, invited to Russia.

“We will announce it independently,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, answering a question from TASS.

According to sources in Baku and Yerevan, the summit may take place next week.

Citing a diplomatic source, the Russian daily Vedomosti reported on Monday that the trilateral meeting could take place in Moscow or Sochi before the end of this month.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced earlier that Putin invited the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia for a new trilateral summit to discuss the entire spectrum of trilateral and bilateral issues.

The previous trilateral talks between Putin, Aliyev and Pashinyan took place in Sochi in November 2021.
