According to a unanimous decision by the Council of Paris, a section in the heart of the French capital—the area between the Alma and Invalides Bridges and the large area adjacent to the Seine River—has been named after Armenia: Esplanade d'Armenie, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Armenian embassy in France.

Esplanade d'Armenie will be included in the official register of addresses in Paris, and it will include the statue of Komitas which was unveiled in 2004, and the Yerevan Park which was opened in 2009.
