President of the Bright Armenia party Edmon Marukyan, who is leading the party’s electoral list, cast his ballot in the early parliamentary elections on June 20, assuring that he has voted in favor of restoring solidarity and reconciliation in the country.

“It’s obvious that we are voting for restoration of solidarity and reconciliation in the country. We have stated that tomorrow it’s the time to restore internal political solidarity and reconciliation in the country. Of course, this could have been done earlier, but the elections are a chance for us to make that step in such situation”, he told reporters.

He expressed hope that there would be no alternatives to the restoration of solidarity and reconciliation, noting that the challenges facing Armenia are much more than anyone could imagine. “We just have no alternative, we should put aside our small truths for bigger truth and for greater value which is our state, our statehood”, he said.

He expressed hope that the June 20 elections will pass very calmly.
